SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO. LTD GRANTED PATENT FOR A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SECURED DATA TRANSMISSION DURING NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION (NFC) ATTACK.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. is known for developing and commercializing a broad range of customer and industrial electronic tools and devices including semiconductors, private computers, peripherals, screens, televisions, and home appliances involving air conditioners and microwave ovens. The enterprise further renders Internet access network processes and telecommunications tools like mobile devices.

In India, the business of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. focuses on system, devices, and method to automatically launch an application on a mobile computing device based on a near-field communication data exchange, electronic device and method for automatic human segmentation in an image, and efficient access to frequently utilized actions on computing devices.

Samsung Electronics Co filed a patent application numbered 954/DEL/2012 that is titled as A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SECURED DATA TRANSMISSION DURING NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION (NFC) ATTACK. The patent has been filed in the field of Communication. This Patent Application has been granted as Patent Number 353474. This invention relates to the field of storage systems, and more particularly, to transaction recovery in storage systems.

During the patent examination, the Patent Examiner raised objections under Section 3(k) of the Patents Act, 1970. Certain claims disclose a mathematical method, where they describe a system and method for calculating the number of row and column of N-dimensional matrix for a secure data transmission in near field communication, it uses the mathematical equation to configure row and column to interleave different patterns or symbol blocks.

As a response, the Applicant amended the claims to overcome the rejection. The amended claims recite a hardware limitation first device to implement the steps described in the method claims.
