During the patent examination, the Patent Examiner raised objections under Section 3(d) of the Patents (Amended) Act, 2005 stating that certain Claims appear to be a mere use of a known process which neither results in a new product nor employ any new reactant.

As a response, the Applicant submitted that Section 3(d) is directed to prohibit patent of known machines or methods which are known per se. As it is clear from cited prior arts that none of the documents disclose all the features of the invention as claimed either individually or in combination. Hence, the subject matter as claimed stands novel and inventive.
